One trip. Four things working together.
01Plan on the map

The map isn’t a feature.
It’s the workspace.

Every day of the itinerary exists on the map. Select a day and its route, bookings, planned stops and nearby possibilities come into focus, without losing the rest of the trip.

You can see what the day actually means before committing more to it.

02Booked. Planned. Unplanned.

A place can belong to your trip without belonging to Tuesday.

Real trips firm up unevenly. Unplanned keeps the difference visible, so a thing you want to do can sit in the trip for weeks before it belongs to a day.

Booked

Confirmed with someone else.

Flights, rooms, tickets and reservations.

Planned

On the itinerary because you put it there.

Intended, but not externally confirmed.

Unplanned

Part of the trip. No date yet.

Keep the idea without making the decision.

UNPLANNED→ PLANNED→ BOOKED
And things can move back again when plans change.
03Ask Unplanned

A travel assistant that already knows how you travel.

Ask Unplanned is built into every trip. It knows your Travel Style, can see what you’ve booked, planned and left open, and understands the route you’re working with.

Ask where to stay, what’s worth a detour, where to eat, what fits into a day or what you might be missing. When the answer depends on current information, it can look that up too.

Somewhere good for dinner when we’re back in Hobart on Friday?

You’re back at MACq 01 around 5:00 PM after Port Arthur, and nothing’s planned for the evening. You’d rather a bakery than a booking, so two easy ones, both a short walk from the hotel:

  1. The fish and chip boats on the waterfront: a Hobart institution. Order at the window and eat on the wharf.
  2. A pub in Battery Point: ten minutes’ walk up through the old sandstone streets, and no need to book on a Friday.

I checked just now: both are open Friday evening.

Anything worth stopping for on Sunday’s drive?

Sunday’s drive runs from Freycinet Lodge to Launceston through Campbell Town, with Cataract Gorge planned for 4:00 PM. With your taste for old buildings and short detours, two stops fit:

  1. Campbell Town: right on the route. The convict-built Red Bridge and a main street of old brick and sandstone.
  2. Ross: already on your Unplanned list, about 25 minutes there and back from Campbell Town. A sandstone Georgian village, and the bakery does a quick counter lunch.

Leave the lodge at 11:30 AM and both still get you to the gorge with time to spare.

Old buildings over big attractions. Good food without the ceremony: we’d rather a bakery than a booking.
This is how Unplanned understands you

Ask Unplanned reads this before it answers anything. Your wording outranks the questionnaire, so edit it freely.

You’re drawn to architecture, history and small towns, and you’d choose old buildings over the big attractions. You’ll take the scenic road when it’s worthwhile, and a reasonable detour is fine for the right find. Food matters, but without the ceremony: local institutions and casual neighbourhood places, and you’d rather a bakery than a booking. When there are lots of good options, give you a short list.

Not what travellers like.
What you like.

The more Unplanned understands how you travel, the more useful Ask becomes across every trip.

There are no booking partners and no sponsored places, so nothing is suggested because somebody paid for it to be. And Ask never moves something on your trip without you.
